OUR ROOTS
Where our story begins.
Darweesh carries a little of Ardabil to Dubai. A city in northwestern Iran, with the snowy peaks of Sabalan, open pastures and a welcome that begins around the table.

The courtyards and intricate tilework of the Sheikh Safi al-Din complex are part of Ardabil’s heritage. That sense of place is part of the story we bring to our table.

Kaseh Kabab is a regional dish from Ardabil, in northwestern Iran. Its name means “kebab in a bowl”: the kebabs are taken off their skewers and served together in one bowl, rather than separately. This distinctive way of serving is central to the dish and its connection to Ardabil.
At Darweesh, our Kaseh Kabab brings together two skewers of koobideh and one skewer of chenjeh. Koobideh is made with minced meat, while chenjeh consists of pieces of meat; together they offer two different textures in the same bowl. Served without rice, it is our way of bringing a dish from our hometown to the table in Dubai.
